Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Debris Removal
Hurricane Irma Hazardous Boat Waste Recovery
After Hurricane Irma in 2017 IDC was hired by CBI to assist in the
recovery of damaged vessels from Miami all the way north to Brevard
County. IDC dive teams worked nonstop from October 2017-January 2018
using lift bags to bring the vessels up high enough to drain the fuel
tanks and remove other hazardous materials. In many instances IDC
dive teams recovered full size vessels and brought them to a dock to
be removed by a USCG contracted crane service and taken to landfill.
Osborne Tire Recovery
IDC started the Osborne tire recovery project in 2015 with funding
from the FDEP. We have worked on the project non-stop from May 2015-June
2019, in that time period we have removed 250,468 tires from the ocean
floor in 70’ of water and transported them to shipping containers in
Port Everglades to be taken to a recycling facility in central Florida.
